You're invited to the fourth annual Huron PLTW Design Expo on May 17th!
Students will be showcasing projects from their PLTW courses:
Engineering Design (ED): Automata Project
Students design a toy that produces realistic motion of a figure or object using the rotation of an axle and cam.
Principles of Engineering (POE): Arcade Game Project
Students use the Engineering Design Process to design a working Arcade Game that includes moving parts, utilizes 5 sensors, and is controlled by Robot C Programming.
Engineering Exploration (AE/DE): Innovation Project
Students design a product that solves a problem related to Aerospace Engineering or Digital Electronics that is testable, demonstrated by 3 iterative prototypes, and utilizes VEX and/or Arduino systems.
Engineering Design and Development (EDD): Capstone Project
Student teams spend the year researching and creating working innovations for real-world applications. Teams will be presenting their capstone projects after a full year of research, design work, and evaluation.
Students will present their projects for feedback and scoring during specified times on Wednesday, May 17 from 5-6pm. During the Awards Ceremony following our Open House, top projects will be featured and awards will be announced, along with a celebration of our graduating seniors.
Please join us to see the incredible work of our students!
